Real Madrid ready to offer four players for Paul Pogba
According to the Sun, Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to offer players in exchange for Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba.
Los Blancos are long-term admirers of the French midfielder. They have so far been unable to strike a deal for the player with United. Their latest move will see them part with four players as a part of their offer.
The players being offered are Martin Odegaard, Lucas Vazquez, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz.
Of the players on offer, Odegaard and Rodriguez are the standout names. Although neither of them is better than Pogba on an individual basis, they certainly could add much to our team.
The Norwegian whizkid saw his career stall after moving to Real Madrid. However, now on loan at Real Sociedad, he has shown exactly what made him one of the world’s most sought after teenagers. Still just 21, he could deliver the potential he promised.
Although Rodriguez’s stock has fallen in recent years. He remains a potent player who can flourish in the right system.
Diaz is interesting given his previous affiliation with Manchester City. The midfielder has a 15% sell-on clause that could rise to 40% if he moves to United. By throwing him as part of a deal, Real could very well prevent City from benefitting financially. (h/t Independent)
Vazquez, on the other hand, is a winger who can play on either flank. At the very least, he will provide a better option off the bench than Jesse Lingard.
Pogba has endured an injury-hit season at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old has not featured for the club since December and has only recently returned to training.
Fans are keen to see him play alongside Bruno Fernandes. An Instagram post of them training together was enough to send the Reds faithful wild.

Pogba remains one of the best players in the world. But he has failed to consistently produce his best for United.
The prospect of him flourishing alongside Fernandes is truly a game-changing prospect. If it is not to be, United will not do too badly by taking Real’s offer.
After all, it does add quality, potential, and depth to our squad. In the post-COVID transfer market, it could very well be a steal.
