Star midfielder Bruno Fernandes has got Manchester United fans talking after he sent a message to teammate Paul Pogba after their first training session together.

The Portuguese international has got pulses racing since moving to Old Trafford in January. The prospect of him linking up with Paul Pogba is one that the fans have been waiting with bated breath.

The French World Cup winner is yet to feature for the club since injuring himself last December. Now back to fitness, Pogba is back in training with his teammates with the rest of the squad.

A picture of him training alongside Fernandes was uploaded on the club’s official Instagram account. With fans already in a tizzy, Fernandes added to it by reacting to the photo. He posted a fireworks emoji, perhaps teasing a sign of things to come. (h/t Mirror)

With the pandemic still on, clubs have been conducting training sessions in small groups. United are no different and are following all safety measures to the tee.

As a result, Fernandes and Pogba had not been able to work together until Tuesday.

United have done well since the turn of the year. Bar the defeat away to Liverpool, the club has steadily progressed up the Premier League table. Once far adrift, we are now just three points off the fourth spot.

Fernandes has contributed to the upturn in fortune with a series of fine performances. The 25-year-old has scored three goals and four assists in nine games for the Red Devils. (h/t Transfermarkt)
