Manchester United set to refund season ticket holders for remaining home games

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have decided to refund season ticket holders for the remaining home games to be held at Old Trafford.

The same has been intimated to the fans. The club plans to refund on any home games they will miss or a pro-rata refund against season tickets for the 2020-21 campaign.

The club has also urged fans to stay away from Old Trafford if games go ahead behind closed doors. Fans have been asked to instead show their support by staying at home.

By staying at home and following the government guidelines, fans will be doing their part to keep their friends, family, and other fans safe. Doing so will guarantee the best chance of protecting the health of everyone in our community.

Although no decision has yet been taken, it is widely expected that games will go ahead behind closed doors.

Any fan who is yet to renew their season ticket for the 2020/21 season, will find it cheaper by the value of the four games missed. The club has intimated that the action could take as many as 14 days to be activated. Fans will receive an official confirmation once it is done.

As of yet, there is less clarity regarding European games. In case the game against LASK is cancelled or played behind closed doors, fans will automatically receive a refund.

United confirmed that there have been inquiries asking if supporter refunds could be donated to the Manchester United Foundation. The club will not be able to do so directly. Fans, however, are welcome to donate it themselves.
