Thiago Almada to snub Manchester United in favour of Manchester City
The 19-year-old Almada has been tipped as one of the brightest stars in Argentine football. The playmaker has also drawn comparisons to Barcelona captain Lionel Messi. (h/t The Sun)
A product of the Velez Sarsfield academy, the 19-year-old made his first-team debut back in 2018 and has since grown into a key player for the Argentine outfit.
However, it seems like Almada is set to snub the interest from our club in order to sign for our arch-rivals. As per the report, the 19-year-old playmaker idolised former Argentine international Carlos Tevez during his youth days.
Tevez played for both United and City and tasted success at both clubs. The seasoned campaigner won two Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup with us. He then went on to win FA Cup and another league title at City.
But the striker’s time at City inspired the 19-year-old Almada according to his camp. And he is keen on following in the veteran forward’s footsteps. (h/t The Sun)
