Nemanja Matic believes Marcus Rashford can become a world-beater

According to the Guardian, Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has backed teammate Marcus Rashford to become a world-beater.

The 22-year-old has continued to impress at Old Trafford this season. He scored an impressive 19 goals and 5 assists in 31 matches before his season looked to be cut short due to injury.

With football currently suspended, he could very well get the chance to add to his tally in the coming months.

Rashford has matured into one of the league’s finest players since his debut against Arsenal in 2016. A versatile player who can play anywhere along the frontline, Rashford has made 201 appearances for the Red Devils. He has scored an impressive 64 goals and 31 assists in these matches.

The youngster has left an impression on Matic who rates his highly. Asked to name his best teammate, the Serbian was under no doubt as to who that would be.

“We have a lot of young players, but they have maybe not reached their top yet, but Marcus Rashford has the ability to be one of the best players in the world in his position.”

Matic believes the player is still improving, and can still improve further. A scary proposition for our rivals.
