Andreas Pereira reveals Manchester United will return to training on May 18

According to Globo Esporte (h/t Sky Sports), Manchester United star Andreas Pereira has revealed that the players will return to training on May 18.

United have already instructed a number of their overseas stars to return to the country within a week. These include the likes of Fred, Victor Lindelof, and Sergio Romero. January signing Bruno Fernandes is already believed to be back in the country.

“We had a meeting and were told that if everything is going well, we’ll be back in training on May 18 in groups of six.”

The training will initially take place in groups of six. Provided it goes well, group training will resume within a week or two.

Pereira revealed that precautions will be taken during the training. Not only will there be no contact between the players but they will be separated so that they can train in different parts of the pitch.

“I don’t know who’ll be in my group yet.”

The Brazilian is enjoying his most successful season at United since breaking into the first-team in 2014. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions, while scoring two goals and four assists so far.

Pereira is under contract at United until 2023. Although he is happy to remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future, he refused to dismiss moving to another big club before the end of his career.

He is thankful to the club for providing him with every opportunity to succeed since he joined us as a 16-year-old. Periera is not averse to staying at United before eventually moving to back Santos.
