Tammy Abraham reveals desire to play alongside Marcus Rashford

According to Copa 90 (h/t Mirror), Chelsea starlet Tammy Abraham has expressed his desire to play alongside Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford for the English national side.

He, however, accepts that he will have to significantly improve to do so. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in the Premier League under Frank Lampard. He has scored 13 goals and 4 assists in 25 PL games so far.

His stats are comparable to Rashford who has scored just one goal more in three fewer games. Unlike Abraham, the United star is an established name, having played 75 more Premier League appearances at the same age.

With both Rashford and Kane out injured, Abraham had the opportunity to make it to Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad. With the tournament now postponed, his task has got much harder.

Abraham revealed that Rashford left an indelible expression on him when they trained together for their country.

“The way he strikes a ball, his skills, his good feet, the way he beats players. He’s just a joy to watch.”

Abraham went on to add that he would love to play alongside Rashford. Abraham is one of the Premier League’s most exciting prospects. He has shown his ability to find the back of the net numerous times this season.
