Fernandes arrived at Manchester United in January from Sporting Lisbon in a £55m deal. The Portuguese international has made a huge impact since joining the club. Since his arrival, we have not lost in 11 games in all competitions.
Fernandes was asked to name a player he would have alongside him for the rest of his career, in an Instagram Q&A with friend Carolina Deslandes. And the 25-year-old named Portuguese midfielder Francisco Ramos (h/t Express).
“It is very difficult to choose, because I have a lot of locker room people who are my friend. Wherever I played? Francisco Ramos.”
Fernandes played with Ramos for the Portuguese U-21 national team, but the latter hasn’t been able to break into the senior team. He is currently playing at Santa Clara in the Portuguese top-flight, on loan from Vitoria.
Fernandes was also asked to choose a coach he would want to have for the rest of the career. The Portuguese snubbed our boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in favour of Jorge Jesus, who he worked with at Sporting Lisbon (h/t Express).
The 25-year-old was also asked about his ambitions at Manchester United, to which he replied (h/t Express):
“To be champion of a league. In this case in the Premier League.”
