Odion Ighalo claims Man Utd haven’t seen Bruno Fernandes at his best yet

According to a report by The Mirror, on-loan Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has claimed that the club haven’t seen the best of Bruno Fernandes yet.

The former Sporting Lisbon star, who joined the Red Devils only in January on an initial £47m deal, has endeared himself to the fans with some stellar performances in the middle of the park.

His creativity and sharpness while orchestrating chances and scoring goals are second to none. And it is something that United have lacked for the longest time over the years.

Prior to the suspension of our upcoming fixtures due to the coronavirus scare, United had registered an 11-game unbeaten streak. And it goes without saying that Bruno played a key role in all of our wins.

However, Ighalo feels that he is yet to unleash his true potential in a United shirt. The Nigerian forward has also impressed so far, scoring 4 goals in 8 games.

But speaking from his time together with Fernandes in the Serie A about a decade ago, Ighalo claimed that he is yet to realize his full potential at Old Trafford.

Speaking to BBC (h/t The Mirror), Ighalo said:

“It’s not my first time playing with Bruno. I played with him at Udinese back in 2010.”

The former Watford star went on to laud Bruno for his performances and complimented his vision and passing skills.

“You’re still going to see more and better from him because he is still getting used to the Premier League,” he explained.
