Man United set to hire specialist team to rope in young talent
According to the Athletic (h/t The Sun), Manchester United are planning to organize a specialist team consisting of eight members to scour and rope in young talent.
The report claims that the Red Devils want to avoid the mistakes of the January transfer window, where they missed out on deals for a number of top targets.
In fact, United were forced to sign Odion Ighalo on loan and were so pressed for time that they went through the deal without even subjecting him to a medical, as per the report.
The Athletic (h/t The Sun) has suggested that United want to improve their transfer business and will appoint a team of eight experts to identify and scout talent by analyzing data.
The report further adds that they’ve already begun headhunting for the same.
A club of United’s stature must be the one calling the shots in the transfer window and not resort to desperate last-minute attempts to sign players on loan.

United are currently placed 5th in the standings and are 3 points behind 4th-placed Chelsea. Considering the way we’ve blown hot and cold in the ongoing season, this does come as good news.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s youth-oriented squad needs newer and better players to fulfil its true potential. And to that end, this is certainly a step in the right direction for us.
