Manchester United to offer Nemanja Matic new deal if they don’t receive £15m for Serbian
Nemanja Matic is a free agent at the end of the season and that provides Manchester United with a problem.
The 31-year-old can leave for nothing in the summer and Juventus are keen on landing him on a free (h/t Sun).
Matic can discuss terms with foreign clubs in January, however, United want to get something from his sale (h/t Sun).
The Sun claims that United want £15m for Matic’s sale in January, but they might accept a lower fee to take his wages off the books.
The Serbian has only played five games for us this season, but there is interest from another party too.
Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to sign Matic at Inter Milan (h/t Sun).
Inter already signed Romelu Lukaku in the summer and signed Alexis Sanchez on loan too.
United need to sell Matic
Matic doesn’t seem to be part of our plans and it would be better to sell him in January than offer him a new deal in the summer.
We should be open to taking a lower price point too if it means his £150,000-a-week wages are off the books too (h/t Sun).
Negotiations over a deal with Inter Milan between Matic’s representatives and the Serie A side (h/t Sun).
Matic too is keen on a move and it is likely that a deal will be thrashed out too (h/t Sun).
