Manchester United keen on landing RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in German striker Timo Werner after impressing in the Bundesliga, according to the Express.

The 23-year-old is one of the best in the league and has been linked with our rivals Liverpool (h/t Express).

The German penned a new deal with RB Leipzig in the summer and Solskjaer might have to wait till the summer to land the 23-year-old (h/t Express).

Werner has six goals from eight Bundesliga games and also has a couple of Champions League strikes this season.

Manchester United could do with more quality in their attack. It was a shock not to replace Romelu Lukaku in the summer and we allowed Alexis Sanchez to leave on loan too.

That hasn’t worked out too well for us as we are struggling to score goals. The German could solve our attacking problems, and it will be interesting to see if we move for him.

We need to sign a striker

The Red Devils need to sign a striker soon after struggling to fit Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial at the tip of the attack.

Timo Werner

They can do well on either side of the attack, and having Werner leading the line would be excellent.

The trio are young and can develop under Solskjaer, and our transfer plans will be key.
