The Portuguese sensation has been creating huge waves with Benfica thereby becoming the transfer target of a swarm of Europe’s elite clubs with Manchester City and Atletico Madrid being the latest.

The 19-year-old has bagged a goal tally of 26 this season and he achieved the incredible feet of becoming the first youngster to score a hat-trick in Europa League.

Felix has also bagged 4 goals in 10 caps for Portugal’s U-21 side.

Should United move for Felix?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently on a mission to restore the Red Devils to its former glory.

As a part of the squad rebuilding, the Norwegian manager wants to add firepower to his attacking unit and Felix would be a brilliant addition.

Having predominantly deployed as an attacking midfielder, the Portuguese wonderkid has the tendency to play as a winger and sometimes as a second striker.

Meanwhile, at United, Jesse Lingard endured a lacklustre season since becoming an injury-prone. The English midfielder has scored only 4 goals and 2 assists this season and Solskjaer is concerned about his inconsistency.

Given this Felix would be the righteous choice to replace Lingard at Old Trafford and also can bring free-flowing nature to the attack as the Norwegian manager always wanted.

Difficulties

Though United are willing to pay his entire release clause, Benfica’s president Luis Felipe Vieira is confident that Felix would stay in Portugal.

And at the same time, Given the fact that United will not play in the Champions League next season, it makes Felix overlook his move to Old Trafford.
