The report says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is very much keen to land the England youth international, who has made 31 Premier League appearances for the Eagles this season. (h/t Birmingham Mail)

The Reds’ defence has come under a lot of scrutiny this campaign, with none of the defenders—except Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw—have performed consistently. We have been all over the place defensively, making the area the most pressing concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to address ahead of the summer transfer window.

The right-back area also needs improvement, with Antonio Valencia set to leave our club at the end of the season. Diogo Dalot is yet to become a regular starter at United, while Ashley Young endured a torrid time on Wednesday during our club’s loss to Barcelona at Nou Camp.

Wan-Bissaka has the qualities to thrive at United

Ashley Young

Even if Young is a vocal leader and gives everything on the pitch in every single game, he’s past his prime and shouldn’t be a starter at our club next season. As far as single performances go the 33-year-old’s at Barcelona in the Champions League might have been one of the worst seen in the competition.

Thus, Solskjaer needs to be ruthless while rebuilding the squad and offload Young in the summer. He should replace the veteran full-back with Wan-Bissaka, who could be our club’s first summer signing. (h/t Birmingham Mail)

Wan-Bissaka leads by example from the right-back position. He is an excellent tackler, good passer and a smart reader of the game, which certainly belie his age. Thus, we would do well to sign him up before it’s too late.
