The Red Devils were interested in the Serbian international last summer but a deal never materialised. In fact, former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho personally watched the midfielder in action on international duty in October 2018.

Now, United seem to have rekindled their interest in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as star midfielder Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford remains unclear. (h/t The Sun)

Paul Pogba has attracted interest from Real Madrid, while his former club Juventus are also thinking of making a move at the end of the season. The Frenchman may have blown hot and cold throughout the season, but he has 16 goals and 11 assists in 41 outings.

The World Cup winner, although, has been hugely influential since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and netted at the weekend in a 2-1 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford. But Solskjaer is preparing his summer wish-list and could make a move for Milinkovic-Savic, who is rated at £86m by Lazio. (h/t The Sun)

The Reds must make a move for Milinkovic-Savic

Milinkovic-Savic arrived in Italy from Genk in 2015 and has successfully managed to become a powerhouse in Italian football. As far as midfielders are concerned, he is considered to be an all-action midfielder, who is blessed with a fine technique, power, physicality, creativity and defensive discipline.

The Serbian has failed to match last season’s heights, with a record of just 4 goals and 3 assists so far this term. Even though Milinkovic-Savic’s form has dipped, Solskjaer should bolster his midfield options in the summer by signing him.
