Manchester United target is “happy” at Spanish side despite club wanting to sell him

Gareth Bale

AS reports that despite Real Madrid open to selling Gareth Bale, the Welshman is happy at the Spanish capital.

The former Tottenham star has had his ups and downs at Madrid since joining from Tottenham. The report adds that the winger has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, however, Bale is happy with his life in the Spanish capital and the club.

The report adds that Bale’s inner circle has claimed that the 29-year-old has no desire to leave the giants despite being courted by several top clubs.

The 29-year-old has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season in what could be called a disappointing campaign for the La Liga giants.

Bale’s troubles have been there for years

Although the Welshman has won several trophies at the club, he has had his fitness issues. Bale has also struggled in certain patches during his time at Madrid and a move away from the Spanish side could be the right decision for his career.

The 29-year-old still has a few good years left in him and it will be interesting to see if any Premier League club signs him in the summer window.

The Welshman could provide more competition to the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, however, his age would be a major concern.

United have done great under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and it is to be seen if the Norwegian is given the full-time job next season.
