Manchester United come in great form ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday. The Red Devils beat Juventus in Italy, and face the league leaders in the clash on the weekend at the Etihad.

Manchester City hold a nine-point lead over us in the Premier League, but we did beat the Cityzens at their patch last season.

Our upswing in performances certainly gives us a chance of getting something from the game. City have been incredible this season and are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season.

Jose Mourinho has a few decisions to make regarding our starting XI, and here is our predicted line-up against our rivals.

Predicted Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jose Mourinho

David de Gea (GK)

The best goalkeeper in the world faces possibly the best attack in the Premier League. De Gea has to be in top form to keep the Cityzens out.

Ashley Young (RB)

Young needs to be wary of the threat possessed by City’s wingers. The Englishman will have a tough evening at the Etihad on Sunday.

Chris Smalling (CB)

Smalling too, like Young, will have a tough game at the Emirates and hopefully, he turns up at the Etihad.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

We do fear about our back four on Sunday and Lindelof has to be wary of City’s threat on Sunday.

Luke Shaw (LB)

The English left-back has been great for the Red Devils this season and could be a threat to the opposition defence on Sunday with his crosses and runs.

Nemanja Matic (CM)

The Serbian needs to keep the City midfield in check and could be one of the keys to us winning the game.

Ander Herrera (CM)

Herrera did a pretty good job in our win over Juventus and should continue his role on Sunday.

Paul Pogba (CM)

Pogba has been decent in the previous games for United but needs to have a fantastic one to help us get the three points at the Etihad.

Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial (LW)

Possibly in the form of his United career, Martial has to be at his best if we are to score against a tough City team.

Marcus Rashford (ST)

Romelu Lukaku hasn’t been great up front and we should see Rashford start against the league leaders on Sunday.

Mata has been brilliant ever since our win over Newcastle and after his goal against Juventus, the Spaniard must start at the weekend.
