Milan Skriniar performed brilliantly for Inter Milan in their draw against Barcelona in the Champions League. The Slovakian central defender has been linked with a number of clubs including Manchester United, according to the Mirror.
The 23-year-old has been impressive for Inter and his manager Luciano Spalletti isn’t going to let go of the defender on the cheap.
Speaking after the game, the Italian shared his valuation of the Slovakian (h/t Mirror):
“If it’s Barcelona, they will have to pay €100m and if I am them I would pay a €20m tip on top.
“And if I’m Real Madrid, the [€100m] with a €40m tip — that is how highly I rate Skriniar.”
United didn’t bring in a central defender in the summer window, and it would not be a surprise if we make a move in January.
Skriniar is one of the top defenders in the Serie A but paying over €100m is excessive. This could be a ploy from the manager in driving clubs away, but if Jose Mourinho can convince the board about signing this player, we will go all-out for the defender.
The Red Devils seem to have turned a corner under the manager and recently came out with an impressive 2-1 away win over Juventus.

Hopefully, we will continue this upturn in our form when we face Manchester City at the weekend.
