Luke Shaw is ready to negotiate a new contract at Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. The Englishman has been one of our best players this season and even received a call-up for the England squad during the international break.

The left-back withdrew from the games against Croatia and Spain but could be fit for our tie against Chelsea after the international break.

Shaw was close to leaving United after criticism from Jose Mourinho, as per the report. However, the Englishman has turned things around and has replaced Ashley Young as our preferred left-back this season.

The report adds that Shaw is willing to remain at the club irrespective of who is in charge. Mourinho has come under pressure after a poor start to the season, losing three out of the opening eight Premier League games.

The 23-year-old has played nine games in all competitions and is one of the eleven United players who will be out of contract at the end of the campaign.

The report adds that United are reluctant to let the left-back leave on a free at the end of the season, given his age and transfer value.

Shaw has turned his career around after a tough time under Mourinho and hopefully, he will be a United player for the foreseeable future.
