Manchester United instruct star manager to refuse other job offers

Zinedine Zidane has been asked to reject all offers as Jose Mourinho’s future is to be decided by Manchester United, according to the Mirror.

The report adds that the former Real Madrid manager has been made the favourite to become the manager at Old Trafford, should the board decide to remove Mourinho from the job.

The report further claims that United used the same tactic when bringing Mourinho into the club. Louis van Gaal’s future was in doubt and the Portuguese manager replaced the Dutchman.

The current United manager has had a tough time with results but saw his team beat Newcastle in the last game.

The home side were two goals down before they staged an incredible comeback. The winning goal came in the last minute of the game, with Alexis Sanchez heading in the effort.

Zidane has been out of a job since leaving Real Madrid at the start of the season. The report adds that the Frenchman has been learning English, and is excited at the prospect of becoming the United manager.

The former Real Madrid manager even has a list of potential targets ready, according to the report. Paul Pogba would welcome the appointment of the legend, and the report claims that the United board are certain Zidane would lift the mood of the dressing room instantly.
