Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has claimed that Paul Pogba is welcome to join the Catalan club.
A report from the Daily Mail claims that Pogba’s relationship with Jose Mourinho hasn’t been great for the last 12 months and there is a desire from the Frenchman to join Barcelona.
Speaking to RAC1 (h/t Daily Mail), the former Liverpool forward claimed Pogba was an “elite” player too:
“Pogba’s an elite player who’s won everything.
“He has a lot of quality and he’s one of the references at United.
“I think he would like to be competing for more than he is at the moment. He’s not a player that belongs to Barca, but he would always be welcome.”
The report further claims that another Barcelona star, Gerard Pique, has stated he would be “happy” to have Pogba at Nou Camp.
The report claims that Pogba wants to move to the Catalan giants and his agent has also spoken with the club.
The Daily Mail adds that United want to keep hold of their star and even made him the captain in the opening game of the season.
The Frenchman has started all our games but we are yet to see the best of him. The 25-year-old picked up the World Cup with France in the summer and hopefully, he can win silverware with us this term.
There will be a lot of interest in the Frenchman because he is a quality player but we cannot let him leave for any price.
