Serie A club ready to offer player plus cash for Manchester United superstar

Juventus are set to test Manchester United’s resolve for Paul Pogba as the Italian champions are ready to offer cash plus Miralem Pjanic to take the Frenchman away from Old Trafford, according to Tuttosport (h/t Mirror).

The report does add that the amount to be thrown in has not been decided yet but Barcelona and the Italian giants are pushing hard to sign the World Cup winner from United.

Paul Pogba joined United from Juventus a couple of years ago for a fee of £89m but the report claims that the Frenchman is unhappy playing under Jose Mourinho.

Another factor is that the English transfer window closes before the Italian one. We would have to find a replacement for Pogba before Thursday (9 August) and it is a bit of a stretch for us to get someone of the same calibre as Pogba at such short notice.

The French midfielder was a huge success at Juventus where he picked up four league titles but things haven’t been great during his time with Mourinho at Old Trafford.

While Pjanic is a quality player who could do a job for us in the midfield, the Juventus star should not be seen as a replacement for Pogba.

Pogba is one of the best in the world and the club have to ensure he not only stays at Old Trafford and performs to his best ability under Mourinho.
