Manchester United star agrees on a mammoth £346,000 a week deal to join Barcelona

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has told his Manchester United teammates that he wants to leave the club and join Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that the World Cup winner has revealed that he wants to be sold in the final hours of the window and has even sent a text message to Ed Woodward about his desire to leave United, though the club deny this.

Manchester United do not want to sell the player and the Daily Mail adds that the club would have very little time to sign a replacement given that the English transfer window ends tomorrow.

Spanish clubs can sign players until the end of the month and the report adds that Pogba has already agreed on a deal with the La Liga giants. The World Cup winner would earn £346,000 a week, a deal which is worth £89.5m spread across five years.

The report also adds that Pogba wants to link up with Argentine superstar Lionel Messi and his former Juventus teammate Arturo Vidal, who recently joined the La Liga side.

Pogba won the World Cup with France and was one of the best players in Russia but the report claims that he is unhappy with Jose Mourinho after the United manager did not praise the midfielder after the final.

The report also adds that Barcelona had bid £44.6m plus Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina, which was rejected by United.

Losing Pogba unless we find a quality replacement for him would be a huge blow for our hopes of winning the Premier League title.

The fact that our window closes before that of the Spanish clubs is a handicap for us and hopefully, we keep hold of the French midfielder.
