Not De Gea – Jose Mourinho is planning to stop Real Madrid from signing key first-team Manchester United

Real Madrid are planning to raid Manchester United for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Don Balon (h/t Daily Star).

The former Everton and Chelsea striker is with the Belgium national side in Russia as they lost their semi-final clash against Paul Pogba’s France in an incredible encounter.

The report claims that Real want to bring in several superstars to bolster their attack after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus. Lukaku is claimed to be the perfect replacement for Karim Benzema but Jose Mourinho will do all he can to ensure the 25-year-old Belgian stays at Old Trafford.

Last season, Lukaku scored 26 goals for us in all competitions and even notched up 7 assists for the Red Devils.4

The Belgian did have a decent start to the World Cup but it all petered out as he could not take the national side to the final in Russia.

However, Real do have the money to spend and they will come aggressively for players this summer. They already have a new coach in Julen Lopetegui and Lukaku certainly is one of the best strikers in the world.

With Mourinho looking to keep the big Belgian, there is no doubt that Lukaku will be a United player next season. The 25-year-old still has some work to do at Old Trafford and with the new signings we have made, there is a chance of the club winning the silverware.
