Jose Mourinho is willing to let Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind leave Old Trafford this summer but they will not be sold on the cheap, according to the Daily Mail.

They were not used a lot by Mourinho last season and they have attracted interest from other clubs. Ajax want to re-sign Blind and had sold the Dutchman to Manchester United in 2014 for £13.8million.

Darmian has been linked with a move back to Italy, with Juventus being one of the clubs interested in the Italian. Even though they have both entered the final year of their contracts, United want to get as much as they can for the pair, however, it would be difficult to see us make a lot of money for the two defenders.

Darmian only played 16 games for us in all competitions last season while Blind played just 17 games across all competitions.

Darmian being sold does make sense given that we have signed Diogo Dalot. The youngster would be a decent option for us in the right-back slot.

However, selling Blind would not be the greatest move given that he can play as a left-back, a position we have struggled to fill under Jose Mourinho.

Additionally, the Dutchman can play in the midfield and has a couple of quality years left in him. Blind would be a decent squad player to have and hopefully, he can stay at Old Trafford for another year or so before Mourinho decides on the future of the former Ajax man.

There will be more signings coming into Old Trafford this season and if we can get another left-back in, then it would make sense for us to sell Blind in the current transfer window.
