Manchester United are interested in signing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to Paris United (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The report claims that the 23-year-old is upset about his future role at Paris Saint-Germain after the arrival of former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel.

The report also claims that the player will have a meeting with the German manager in the coming weeks but has already faced the wrath of Tuchel as Rabiot missed a meeting in late May.

Rabiot’s mother, Veronique, has already sounded out moves to potential buyers if a resolution about the French midfielder’s playing time cannot be found at PSG.

The report also claims that Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old Frenchman and his situation at the Ligue 1 club.

Rabiot started just 27 games for the Ligue 1 giants last season and did not make it to the France squad for the World Cup.

The 23-year-old might want to play more minutes next season but his price would be one of the major obstacles in our way if we do want to sign him up.

Another problem for us would be accommodating the Frenchman given that we just extended Marouane Fellaini‘s contract at the club and we have also signed Fred to be a part of the midfield.

There is no doubt that Rabiot is one of the best young midfielders in the world and he would be a great asset to the side. However, given the current scenario at United, Rabiot would not get too many minutes unless we end up selling someone.
