Manchester United made it two signings in two days as they completed a move for young Porto defender Diogo Dalot.

The youngster is touted as one of the most promising defenders in world football and has signed a five-year deal with the club. Reports claim that Dalot cost us £19m.

The Portugal defender did play against Liverpool in the Champions League and did provide a great showing and he even spoke to the club in an exclusive interview.

Dalot did say that United is one of the best clubs in the world and hoped to achieve great things at the club.

The 19-year-old also spoke about being the first Portuguese signing for Mourinho at United.

“Yeah, it’s very good. It was very important to make this choice and I hope to help him, because I know that he will help me to improve a lot.”

Dalot also added that he is a hard-working player who is constantly looking to improve and that should make for good reading for most of us fans.

The former Porto defender also stated that the Premier League is the best league in the world before signing off with a message for all United fans.

“I will give everything for this club, for this shirt and hopefully help the club to win. That’s the most important thing.”

Mourinho added that Dalot is the best full-back in Europe in his age group and has the abilities and the talent to become a great player for the club.

Hopefully, Dalot will turn out to be a better signing than Matteo Darmian or Luke Shaw. Mourinho doesn’t always move for young players but when he does, we can be sure that the manager will get the best out of the player.
