Manchester United interested in signing Liverpool superstar but Reds demand £175m

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is ready to leave the Merseyside club after a record-breaking season, according to reports from Spain.

Don Balon (h/t The Plymouth Herald) claims that the 25-year-old has asked his agent to seal a move away from Anfield after a number of top European clubs are interested in the Egyptian.

While Jose Mourinho was the manager when Salah was sold from Chelsea, the Manchester United manager is now sure that the player will help us close the gap on Manchester City as we look to win the Premier League title. We finished 19 points behind our city rivals but Salah scored 32 goals in the league and won the Golden Boot too.

He scored 44 goals in all competitions for the Reds and the report also claims that the Merseyside club would only think about selling their star for an offer of £175m.

The performance from the Egyptian has also seen interest coming in from City and also Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have their own problems given that Zinedine Zidane has resigned from the club and that might play a role in their transfer dealings over the summer.

Salah’s participation in the World Cup is also a doubt after picking up an injury during the 3-1 loss at the hands of Madrid in the Champions League final.

The 25-year-old was a breath of fresh air as he made life extremely tough for most Premier League defences, however, that was not the case against us as we kept him quiet on both occasions where we faced the Reds.

Mourinho does have a job on his hands as we need to build after a season of disappointment, given that we did not win any trophies under the Portuguese gaffer.

We failed to even win the FA Cup as Chelsea somehow defeated us and hopefully, bringing in players such as Salah will be able to take us to the next level as we look to usurp City in the league and make a mark in the Champions League too.
