Eric Bailly seems to be staying at Old Trafford next season after the 24-year-old posted on Instagram that he would be looking to come back “stronger” as the season has ended.

The £75,000-a-week Ivorian has not been able to nail down a starting place in the Manchester United side this season due to injuries and only played 18 matches in all competitions.

The central defender posted on Instagram that he would be learning from the season and will come back next year much stronger after some much-deserved rest with family and friends.

The 24-year-old was not played consistently after coming back from injury as Mourinho wanted to give more game time to those who were going to participate in the World Cup in Russia.

Bailly was an unused substitute in the 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup final and will hope for a better performance from the club next season.

The Ivorian is certainly one of the better defenders in the team and it was a little perplexing to see him not being used regularly by our manager but that does not seem to have played into the mind of our defender.

Bailly can certainly grow and become one of the best defenders in the world under Mourinho and hopefully, we will get to see a lot more of the 24-year-old as we look to overcome a rather poor season and pick up some silverware.
