Rashford proud to learn that he is the most utilised player by Jose Mourinho

Marcus Rashford has been a breath of fresh air since making his breakthrough with Manchester United aged just 18 years old in 2016.

The Englishman has been a thorn for a number of clubs but even after making 43 appearances for the Red Devils this season, he has not been able to nail down a permanent spot in the team.

According to a report from The Express, the Englishman has only started five games in the previous 16.

Nevertheless, the 20-year-old was speaking to the monthly magazine for the club and stated that being a Mancunian gives a little extra.

“I think it does.

“A lot of people have that dream, so you’re not only doing it for you; you’re doing it for a lot of people that you might not even know, but there are a lot of people who had the dream of playing for their local team when they were young.

“So I think you are playing not only for yourself and for the club, but for all the people that are living that dream through you.”

A stat that many would not know is that Rashford is the player that Mourinho has played the most during his tenure at the club, something that the Englishman was proud to learn too.

“I wasn’t aware of it before I saw it and it’s something to be proud of.

“But we always want more and we always want to show progression individually and as a team, so the numbers don’t really matter as much as the results do to me.”

Marcus Rashford is such a valuable asset and we have to hold on to him at all costs. Letting him leave would be disastrous.
