Anthony Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley has refused to comment on his client’s future at the Old Trafford beyond the end of the season.

Reports have emerged that manager Jose Mourinho is planning a massive overhaul over the summer and the Frenchman is amongst one of the 11 players who could be shown the exit doors.

Martial, who currently earns £65,000-a-week, enjoyed a stellar debut season under Louis van Gaal as he went to score 17 goals in all competitions but Mourinho’s arrival eventually raised the questions over his spot in the first-team.

In terms of goals, the Frenchman has already bettered his previous season’s tally but hasn’t really managed to get a spot ahead of Marcus Rashford. Furthermore, the arrival of Alexis Sanchez has only added more misery to his fate.

As far as the suitors are concerned, it is been claimed by various sources that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer. With Alexis Sanchez gone, Wenger might push for a move. And judging by the fact that Martial’s game time has reduced, this could be a blessing for Wenger.

Martial’s representative, Philippe Lamboley, was recently asked about the future of his client and he simply refused to provide any guarantee over his future at Old Trafford. He told Il Bianconero (h/t Manchester Evening News):

“Will [Martial] stay in Manchester in the summer? At the moment, I cannot say anything else about it.”

“His goal is to win the FA Cup and to cement with Manchester United the second place in the Premier League.”

There were also claims – in the Italian media that Juventus are interested in Martial’s services but Lamboley refuted the quotes by concluding,

“I have never met with Juventus. Doyen Sport does not represent Anthony Martial and all that has been reported in Italian newspapers, regarding my client, is false.”

Do you think Martial will stay at Manchester United come next season?
