Manchester United to move for £110,000-a-week Chelsea star if he’s made available

Manchester United could launch a bid for Chelsea star Willian during the summer transfer window after making an inquiry in January, according to Daily Mail.

The Brazilian is in fine form for Chelsea at the moment despite his club being in underwhelming form and he found the back of the net for his side as they lost 2-1 against us last weekend.

It was our boss Jose Mourinho who took Willian to Chelsea and he now wants to reunite with the player at Old Trafford.  Following our win over Chelsea, Mou was also full of praise for Willian and said:

“Do you want to talk about Willian? Top, cream of the crop, he’s amazing.”

Though signing a new attacker is not a priority for us next summer, we could make a move for the £110,000-a-week Willian if he is made available. However, Chelsea may be hesitant to do business with us again anytime soon after they reluctantly sold us Nemanja Matic during the summer transfer window.

In addition to this, we are unlikely to fork out a huge amount of money to sign a player who is approaching his 30th birthday and it is unlikely that Chelsea will allow Willian to leave him on the cheap.

In my opinion, signing Willian is totally unnecessary. We’re already well stocked when it comes to wingers and why should we sign one more?

Willian’s arrival could jeopardise Rashford/Martial’s chances further and it is best that we stay away from signing the Chelsea star.

Moreover, Willian is someone who relies on pace and trickery. So with him entering his 30s, it’d be safe to say that he doesn’t have too many years of top football left in him.

All things considered, we’re better off without Willian.
