Manchester United could face a blow as £290,000-a-week star’s agent gets in touch with potential suitors

Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho

Paul Pogba’s future is once again in doubt after a number of reports have suggested that the Frenchman is unhappy at Manchester United and is seeking a move away from the club.

The 24-year-old has had a bit of a fall-out with our manager, Jose Mourinho, and his form has seen a drastic dip as well. The Frenchman was not in the starting XI against Sevilla in the Champions League but he did play the majority of the game after coming on as a substitute for Ander Herrera.

There has also been an issue regarding his position on the field and according to the Mirror (h/t Daily Record), a number of clubs have already been contacted by Pogba’s representatives.

We did purchase Pogba for a record fee of £89million but that seems to have also made the clubs think twice about signing the Frenchman. However, a report from Sports Illustrated also claims that Mino Raiola, his agent, has been in contact with a number of clubs.

The report also adds that clubs would have to fork out at least £290,000-a-week as wages, as the Frenchman might also be looking at a rise in his pay.

Is This The End Of Pogba At United?

We would certainly hope not. Pogba is one of the best in the world when played right and if Mourinho can get this niggle out of the way and find the right position, the French midfielder can dominate the Premier League too. At Juventus, he was provided a lot of cover and was given a free role. At United though, there are expectations of him to do everything, which is just not possible.

We cannot afford to lose such a player and even if Pogba has not been playing to his best ability, Mourinho has to work on this and find a solution. Pogba wants to play for United and letting him go will backfire since the Frenchman has a lot of time to develop his game further.

The summer will be an anxious one for all United fans and hopefully, we can not only keep Pogba but also add a few more players to strengthen our squad.
