Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho plotting move to sign Sanchez’s teammate

Arturo Vidal
Arturo Vidal

Jose Mourinho has made a number of big money signings during his short but eventful time at Manchester United and the former Real Madrid manager is ready to sign another world class player in Arturo Vidal. A report from the Manchester Evening News claims that we will be looking to add the Chilean midfielder in the summer and that he will be a replacement for Michael Carrick, who is set to depart the club at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Vidal could be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena, given that Bayern will be signing Leon Goretzka in the summer. The competition for places will be tough at the Bundesliga club. Manchester United are a little light when it comes to the midfield and Vidal could be the main engine in the side, given that we have struggled in a few games where Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic have played together.

We were overrun in the 2-0 loss at the hands of Tottenham and Mourinho would not want to deal with the same, next season.

Even though he is nearing 30 years of age, Vidal should be able to link up really well with the team given that he has played with Alexis Sanchez for the Chile national side. Vidal has also played with Pogba during their time at Juventus and the Frenchman could get a bit of assurance with the dynamic Chilean joining us in the summer.

A Good Decision From United But Can Vidal Fire In England?

There will always be questions about players moving in from other countries but the 29-year-old should be a perfect fit for the English league given that his game is based on being dynamic and taking on the opposition.

We do miss the bite in the heart of our midfield and Vidal would be an amazing buy. With Mourinho at the helm, there is no doubt that we will be spending money to close the gap on Manchester City as we look to win the Premier League for the first time after the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Vidal still has a lot left in him and under Mourinho, he could be a real success.
