Sanchez will only join Man United if this happens, confirms Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola has finally opened about up about the entire speculation regarding his client’s potential swap deal with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

The outspoken agent has delivered his words on the verdict, stating that the Chilean isn’t the centrepiece of this entire transfer speculation, but his client Henrikh Mkhitaryan is. Citing the reason behind his statement, the 50-year-old has explained that Sanchez coming to United will all depend on the Armenian’s desire of moving to the Emirates this winter.

Mkhitaryan, who joined Manchester United back in the summer of 2016, still has two more years left on his current Manchester United deal. While the Gunners are looking forward to acquiring him as a part of that swap deal, it is now understood that the Armenian has not decided as to what lies in store up next.

According to the Goal, Raiola has already met the Arsenal hierarchy at the Colney training ground this week and is working keen on securing “a fee for himself as part of his involvement in brokering the deal.”

Arsenal, on their part, are demanding £35million for the Chilean and similar is the case with his agent, Fernando Felicevich. Rumours are claiming Felicevich is also demanding a £5million signing on fee for his client, taking his total to £40m. Meanwhile, United’s cross-town rivals Manchester City were also interested, but Arsenal’s asking price coupled with the Chilean’s wage demands have forced them to back out from the deal.

As things stand right now, Mino Raiola has confirmed that United are not signing Sanchez until and unless Mkhitaryan makes his mind up to move the other way.

“Manchester United is not going to sign Sánchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal,” Raiola told The Times.

Mkhi has not decided yet. Mkhi is going to do what is best for him. He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, so it’s his decision.”

“Sánchez is part of the Mkhi deal, not the other way around.”

Same as Alexis Sanchez, Henrikh Mkhitaryan was dropped from Manchester United’s matchday squad which faced Stoke City the other night. When quipped about the decision, Mourinho admitted that it was never “a purely tactical decision.” The Armenian was dropped as his future with the club was under scrutiny.

This is actually getting more and more complicated, to say the least. Do you want Mkhitaryan to leave United?
