Manchester United are being credited with an interest in 3 Premier League strikers, with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and former Red Devil Javier Hernandez all being on the club’s radar. According to the Telegraph, United are seriously hunting for a striker and the above-mentioned players are the ones that the club hierarchy is targeting.

Alexis Sanchez has entered the final 6 months of his contract with Arsenal, and Manchester City were thought to be in the driving seat for the player’s signature. The Cityzens were expected to close down a deal worth £25m but the Gunners seem to want £35m instead. Manchester City are baulking at the price, as Sanchez’s wages alone would reportedly cost them £250,000-a-week.

Manchester United are prepared to enter the race as Mourinho believes there is a shortage in the attack department and it is not possible for us to deny the same. Following Zlatan’s injury setback, the club is missing a backup for Lukaku and Jose wants Martial and Rashford to play on the left-wing.

United are interested in Sanchez but Arsenal are not ready to sell him until they find a replacement. Bordeaux’s Malcom is being targeted by Wenger and the player has been linked with Man United as well.

On the other hand, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy is expected to cost around £35m and the Red Devils are interested in the player. The Englishman would be eligible to play in the Champions League and though he is a very different player to Lukaku, he would guarantee goals. Having signed a new contract in the summer of 2016 amidst strong interest from Arsenal, the deal would only go through if the Leicester owners sanction a sale.

Former Red Devil and West Ham’s star summer signing Javier Hernandez is being eyed by the club as well and this would be the easiest deal to accomplish among the three. West Ham’s new manager David Moyes doesn’t seem to want Chicharito in the team and is keen to offload the player.

The Mexican did not impress Moyes when the latter was in charge of United in the 2013-14 season and that view has not changed now either. West Ham are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the player.

It looks like United are really keen on signing an attacker and it’ll be interesting to see who we end up signing. Who’d be your preferred signing of the three?
