Manchester United prepare for life after Ibrahimovic as €100m-rated goal machine is targeted

Andrea Belotti is a Manchester United target

Zlatan Ibrahimovic might have returned like a lion after his horrible injury at the end of last season but the Swede has not been as prolific as he would have expected to be and looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer.

While Romelu Lukaku has been the main man in front of goal, we will need to find another striker who can bang in the goals when the Belgian is not firing or is injured. Zlatan might be looking to move to the MLS or China but we seem to be ready to make a big move for Andrea Belotti.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of moves to some of the biggest sides in the world, and he just might make the move away from Torino in the summer according to Yahoo Sport. The report suggests that the Italian would not come on the cheap and his price would be around €100m, thanks to his release clause.

Belotti scored 28 goals in all competitions last season but his goals have dried up this campaign as he only has 7 from 18 games. The Italian mostly plays as a centre-forward and is known for his aerial ability and finishing. So he would fit our playing style.

Being only 24, Belotti has a long way to go and become one of the best in the world but is he really worthy of such a hefty fee?

A Talented Player But He Is Too Similar To Lukaku

What we need is someone who can chip in with goals when Lukaku is not playing or is out of form. Belotti might have all the tools to be one of the best strikers in Europe but he needs to play regularly, something he would not be able to do should he join our side.

Jose Mourinho does like a forward who is physical and can hold the ball up, which Belotti can do but paying €100m for a one season wonder is just too much of a risk.
