Injury Update – Star Manchester United Midfielder Uploads His Training Video On Instagram

Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho

Paul Pogba has provided an injury update by uploading a video of himself on his Instagram profile in “Bruce Lee style” and it seems like he might mark his return a bit earlier than expected.

The Frenchman picked up a severe hamstring injury in Manchester United’s Champions League opener against Basel, and addressing the issue, Mourinho categorized his absence as ‘long-term.’

“For long-term injuries, I don’t speak about them, so Ibra, Pogba, Rojo and these players, I don’t think about them,” said Mourinho.

Pogba started his new Premier League campaign in an amazing way and went on to score 2 goals and 2 assists in the first 4 league games. Although an unfortunate injury stalled his campaign, United haven’t lost their mojo whatsoever.

Since Pogba’s absence, United have scored four against Everton, four against Burton, one against Southampton, four against CSKA and quite recently, four against Crystal Palace! And in the process, they have conceded just two goals. Jose Mourinho, on his part, has already confessed that he is ‘not missing Pogba’ and judging by the result, he seems to be completely fair.

The 24-year-old recently uploaded a video him training at United’s Carrington and captioned, “Bruce Lee style!! Wouaaaa tchaaaaaa.”

Furthermore, as per The Sun, Manchester United’s medical staff have prohibited Pogba from playing basketball as they want to avoid more strains. The midfielder was often spotted playing the sport during his holidays in the United States, and the staff is of the belief that his willingness to play Basketball might well affect his recovery. In his absence, Marouane Fellaini has perfectly stepped up and his recent performance against Crystal Palace perfectly underlines the fact.

For all the right reasons, Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs thinks the same. The 43-year-old believes that United do not really have to look somewhere else as Fellaini has already proved his importance to the team.

“Marouane Fellaini has really proved his importance, stepping in for Paul Pogba. He has scored important goals, as he did at Everton,” Giggs said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

“I’ve worked with him and he’s a great lad to train because he does exactly what you want, and hasn’t let the fans bother him because he’s always had the support of the players and the coaches. He is effective, knows his strengths and limitations, and he’s somebody who Jose has put a lot of faith in and he has repaid that with some important goals,” the Welshman added.

Let’s hope that Paul Pogba makes a good and strong recovery, with Fellaini filling in well during the Frenchman’s absence.
