Manchester United’s star midfielder Paul Pogba was spotted with a blonde in Miami as he continues his recuperation in America, as reported by The Daily Mail. It was the same young lady he met during the pre-season tour of the Red Devils.
The 24-year-old French midfielder is currently out of action with a hamstring injury. The Red Devils haven’t put a specific recovery date on his return while his recuperation takes him to Miami.
The French international appears to be enjoying his time-off as the pair was seen laughing along Miami Beach where they enjoyed a long brunch.
Pogba suffered a hamstring injury during the side’s 3-0 win over Basel in the Champions League group stage last month. The medical team at Old Trafford is not yet sure on the return date and manager Jose Mourinho has indicated the same.
Speaking ahead of the 4-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace during the weekend, the Portuguese tactician lamented the loss of Pogba and said that he has joined the club’s ‘long-term’ injury list.
“He’s injured,” said the United boss on Friday. “He cannot play tomorrow and it’s not an injury that I can have the hope I have with (Antonio) Valencia or (Phil) Jones. I have the hope to see them in training. Long-term injuries I don’t speak about them – Ibra, Pogba, Rojo, I don’t think about these players.”
There are fears within the club management that the star midfielder could be out of action until mid-November although there is no confirmation of the same, yet.
There are also concerns that he would struggle to be fit for even the trip to Chelsea on November 5. His potential return could be against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on November 18 which means he may miss another eight games for the club.
The £89m record signing for the club endured a tough initiation last year after bearing the weight of the transfer fee. However, he had a great start to this season as he appeared to be enjoying the presence of summer signing Nemanja Matic beside him.
Pogba, before his injury, scored twice in six matches across competitions for the club. Just when he was looking like showing his true potential, the injury struck him.
Let us hope that the break he is enjoying in Miami with his young companion refreshes him for the tough battles ahead!
