Danny Rose’s comments certainly have gotten a lot of us thinking and as the defender contemplates a move away from Tottenham. The English defender was speaking to The Sun and stated that he would be willing to move away for a greater sum of money and to the north.

The 27-year-old has not played for Spurs since January but was one of the best players in the Premier League last time around. But this statement does come as a shocker for sure. While Tottenham fans have been moaning about Rose’s comments, there is little truth in the fact that he is not making as much as some of the other stars in the Spurs side.

Nevertheless, the Englishman was rightly ridiculed by Gary Neville, who took to Twitter and shared some of his thoughts about Rose’s comments.

The Englishman added that he did not know what exactly Rose was thinking and the fact that it would be an awkward training session for the 27-year-old when he returned to the club.

How To Deal With An Issue

Neville was, however, not critical of the fact that Rose wants a move away from Tottenham but he was upset at how the entire episode played out. The former United star wanted the Englishman to deal with this in a professional manner and not sound out like he wanted to run away from Spurs in the first chance he got.

The former captain also shared another tweet which discussed slagging off Rose in the dressing room, which seemed unlikely given that Mauricio Pochettino has created a pretty young and fun side since moving to the London club from Southampton.

Tottenham do have a fight on their hands to keep hold of the 27-year-old and with these comments, it is only a matter of time before someone decides to make a move for Rose.

We might be the club that can do with a quality attacking left-back and if we offer Rose the right amount of money, the Englishman will be willing to play for Jose Mourinho and could be the missing piece in our defence.
