(Video) Euro Midfielder Storms Out Of Training Amidst Strong Links From Manchester United

Fabinho

Monaco midfielder Fabinho has reportedly stormed out of training (h/t Teamtalk) as he seeks a move away from the club this summer. Teamtalk shared the video of the midfielder leaving the training as speculation surrounds Fabinho’s future.

The Brazilian has been intensely speculated to have been angling for a move, with Manchester United interested in the player. Having already seen some high-profile teammates leave the club this transfer window, the midfielder is keen to test himself in the Premier League.

Something Brewing Up?

Fabinho was involved for the full 90 minutes in the season opener for Monaco that saw them brush aside Toulouse 3-2 on Friday night. However, a viral video is doing the rounds, showing the 23-year-old throwing his bib to the ground and storming off the pitch after an alleged bust-up with team-mate Kylian Mbappe.

These things are quite normal and the French media too was quick to knock it off as a minor incident. But the fact that the player is looking for a move in the summer makes us look at the incident in a different perspective.

Will Mourinho Go For Another Midfielder?

Jose Mourinho had a simple wish list at the start of the summer – recruit a defender, midfielder, winger and a striker. He has ticked almost all the boxes with the signings of Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic, and Romelu Lukaku.

A deal for Ivan Perisic has been spoken about all through the summer but whether it happens or not, Mourinho may not want to go for another midfield target.

However, the Brazilian can play as a right-back too which should appeal to Mourinho. He is in the market for a player to provide competition for Antonio Valencia. Serge Aurier of Paris Saint-Germain has been mentioned as a target, with some media outlets even mentioning that a deal is done, with only Visa clearance pending for the player.

Will Monaco Sell?

Having already seen a clutch of big names depart this summer, the club may be reluctant to let Fabinho leave. Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, and Tiemoue Bakayoko have already left Monaco while Mbappe remains on the radar of Real Madrid.

This could complicate the situation and Monaco could play hard ball over the transfer. Is that why Fabinho is throwing a tantrum? Looks hardly so because it would take more than a training ground bust-up for Monaco to part with one more star player!
