Danny Rose

Manchester United are targeting Danny Rose of Tottenham as Jose Mourinho wants more options down the left. According to Independent, Manchester United see Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose as a potential solution to their search for a wide player in the transfer market, as Jose Mourinho continues to assess his options, given the club’s frustrated pursuits of Internazionale’s Ivan Perisic and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.

We were tracking Serge Aurier for a while but the Paris Saint-Germain player cannot move to England as he had his visa revoked ahead of the Champions League against Arsenal in London. He was found guilty of elbowing a police officer and was sentenced to two months in prison, for which he contested the charge. The lack of a work permit for the defender has left us in a bit of a fix and Mou is willing to raid our rivals for the attack-minded left-back.

Rose has not played a single game for Spurs since January due to a knee injury and is still not 100% fit come the start of the new season. The 27-year-old was one of the brightest players for Mauricio Pochettino’s side last season until the injury ended his season.

The Englishman would provide us with a lot of quality out wide and seeing that we have issues with the fullback positions, Rose would work out well in the long-run too.

Kyle Walker And Danny Rose

Mourinho would want quality on the left side ahead of a season where we would be playing Champions League football thanks to our Europa League win. We might be able to play Marcos Rojo or Daley Blind down the left but they aren’t natural attackers as Rose is.

Tottenham would not want to lose out on one of their best players ahead of the season but we have seen Daniel Levy succumb to big money transfers as with the Kyle Walker saga and Rose could follow a similar route.

Spurs have not added a single player to their side in the summer while we have slowly and steadily added quality in our attack, midfield and defence thanks to Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof joining our side.

Rose would make this an extremely brilliant transfer window and it will be interesting to see just how our interest in the Englishman works out.
