Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United Transfer News

Wantaway Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has fueled speculations by admitting that he is subscribed to the in-house TV Channels of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid and says that he learns a lot of things from the way how the top players live their lives.

He says that he watches them to study the teams and learn certain aspects of football. Lukaku has openly admitted that he will not be signing a contract extension with the Merseyside club, stating that his ambition is much higher and hence he would like to move.

Since then, he has been linked with a host of big clubs including Manchester United and now, his latest comments are sure to add fuel to the fire. The Belgian beast is currently being valued at £100million by Everton it would be difficult for any team to match such evaluation, given that the player’s contract is set to expire in 2019.

Lukaku was quoted by Metro: “I can never have enough of football. I eat it from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. I’m subscribed to everything you can think of: Chelsea TV, Manchester United TV, Real Madrid TV. I want to know everything about how these guys train and live their everyday lives.”

Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is yet to sign a contract extension with the club and hence Jose Mourinho has been linked with signing Lukaku.

Lukaku has been outstanding this season and has scored 25 goals and 7 assists this season, with 24 of them coming in the league. He is the top-scorer in the league right now and his on his way to winning the ‘Premier League Golden Boot’ award. His goal scoring record can be matched by very few strikers in the world and will be a valuable addition to any team that he may join.

Whether or not if Manchester United intend to pay £100million for a striker who will have 2 years left on his contract at the end of the current campaign is unknown but it would be a ridiculous sum considering the scenario.

Everton would be in a weaker position to negotiate as the player isn’t willing to stay at the club and the contract running down as well. This summer would be the right time for them to get the best price for the striker and Manchester United can look to take advantage of this.

Do you think Lukaku will join Manchester United in the summer?
