After A Shocking Blunder, Manchester United Talisman Sends A Twitter Message To The Fans

Manchester United, yet again, dropped points at the Old Trafford over the weekend as they played a 1-1 draw to a lowly Stoke side. United were in total control of the game right from the beginning and the players like Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Lingard were offered some glorious opportunities, but they failed to capitalize any.

Anthony Martial opened the scoring for the side, but their celebration was cut short by Stoke’s new signing Joe Allen as he found the net late into the second. Well, many overlooked it, but the goal was actually conceded after De Gea made a sloppy mistake. Glen Johnson tried testing the Spaniard from range and rather that holding the ball, the former Atletico Madrid man punched it, which by the way didn’t travel the distance, and Stoke managed to bundle the ball over the line.

Well, one cannot expect De Gea doing that but that only proves that footballers are human, and after the game, he took to social media to express his unhappiness at the result.

Well, that surely is a nice gesture and also a great sense of optimism. As mentioned before, United were in cruise control and the manager himself stated that this was a far better performance by the team compared to what they did in the Europa League tie.

United do need to keep their heads up, especially this month as they have the games against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City coming up.
