Manchester United may have defeated Zorya! Zlatan Ibrahimovic may have won the Man of the Match title for scoring the only goal of the game, but for the former Manchester United striker – Michael Owen – Zlatan is going wrong.
The 34-year-old striker, who is more than just a player at Old Trafford, scored the only goal of Manchester United’s Europa League game last night was criticized by Devils’ former striker Michael Owen.
“His movement disappoints me a bit,” the pundit said on BT Sport.
“He just stands a lot. Because of his height he gets away with it.
“There was no movement from him [tonight]. He just tends to stand at the back post and wait for the ball.
“There were a few crosses tonight and he stayed in the same position.”
The Swedish striker has now netted six goals from ten appearances this campaign following his summer arrival at Old Trafford.
He will likely lead the Red Devils line again when they host Stoke in the Premier League on Sunday. Well, maybe for Owen he is right, but for United fans, he has totally lost the plot.
