Shocking Stat About Ibrahimovic – Is He A Wasteful Finisher In The Premier League?

Ibra vs watford

A shocking stat has revealed that the Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the most wasteful striker in the Premier League so far.

Official Premier League statistics show the Manchester United striker has had more shots than any other player in the Premier League – by quite some way.

The former PSG man has had 32 attempts at goal this season, while the players like Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa and Alexis Sanchez have had 19, 18 and 17 respectively. Well, there is nothing wrong in trying a luck, but the end result is coming from the Swede. The 34-year-old’s last goal for United came in the Manchester Derby, and his goalless streak has now come to three games.

Metro.co.uk calculated how many shots per goal the top scorers at all 20 Premier League clubs have needed this season and the results reveal that Ibrahimovic is the most wasteful in the Premier League:

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSG hitman has taken eight shots for every time he’s hit the back of the net. That’s over two more attempts than the top scorer at any other Premier League club.

Among those who have scored four or more goals this season, Watford’s Etienne Capoue has the most impressive conversion rate, needing just seven attempts to bag his quad of goals.
