Manchester United so far have signed four new players in the squad and now the Portuguese manager is set to send some players packing.
Juan Mata, who was sold to United by Jose Mourinho in a £37.1m deal was rumored to be heading out of the Red devils this summer, however, recent reports suggest that Mata may have a role to play for the Portuguese boss and can be expected to stay at the Old Trafford beyond the summer.
Mata was substituted in Sunday’s Community Shield win over Leicester City just 27 minutes after coming on, fuelling speculation that his days were numbered at Old Trafford.
However, same is not the case for Bastian Schweinsteiger who seems to have played his last game for United and reports suggest that there are many clubs looking out for the player from Germany as well as other clubs.
Schweinsteiger has found himself outside Mourinho’s 26-man squad and with the arrival of Paul Pogba the former World Cup winner seems destined to be a major casualty of the new era at United.
Further, United youngster Adnan Januzaj is set to head out of the Old Trafford on a loan deal as reports suggest that Mourinho believes that a season of the first team football elsewhere will benefit the player. The Belgium winger played only seven games in all competitions for United last season and spent four months on loan at Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
