Food For Thought: Three Reasons Why Manchester United Will Win The Premier League This Season

With Louis van Gaal gone and Mourinho at the helm, a completely different brand of football is expected at the Theatre of Dreams in the upcoming season and hence, a lot many things are being expected.

The Portuguese tactician is a proven winner, who has won the titles in every single league he has managed and hence, the expectations are higher than ever. Yes, he had a torrid campaign last season with Chelsea, but we cannot really blame the manager alone for that.

Well, Manchester United have faced three seasons with utter humiliation, but they did manage to grab the FA Cup. We are pretty sure that this is not the title most of the fans want; they want to win the real deal. It is safe to say that Manchester United have always been the club, who have been considered as a title challenger and even in the following year, we might see them going for the honour. So here, we give you three reasons why Manchester United can win the Premier League next season:

    1. Rigid Defence:

We all are aware of the fact that Jose Mourinho wants to work with a strong and powerful defensive line. Well, reviewing a glimpse of last season; Manchester United were one of those few clubs, who had an excellent defensive record. Yes, they need to work on the right side as Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian suffers due to inconsistency, but the central line and the left line are the ones they should be really proud of.

26-year-old Englishman Chris Smalling was unarguably the best man in the team last season and he will be looking forward to replicate the same form. Daley Blind had a tough time to counter the strikers like Aguero and Lukaku, but he did his job with perfection. Now, with Eric Bailly at the side, we might see a great centre back pairing for the Reds that could easily cut the comedy for most of the attackers.

    1. New Dynamism:

It is fair to say that Manchester United solely lacked purpose in the final third in recent times, but the new manager has brought a new dawn at the Theatre of Dreams and many expect that this goal drought will finally get over. Manchester United lacked an experienced striker past season and now with the Big Swede (Ibrahimovic) at the helm, goals are sure to come.

Besides that, the arrival of the Armenian professional Henrikh Mkhitaryan has raised the bar up high and with him charging the right and Martial charging the left flanks, a new dynamism can be seen in the following season. Both the wingers have huge expectations ahead of themselves, and we are pretty sure that they will live up to it with ease.

    1. A Hungry Manager:

The utmost reason behind all this is the eagerness of the new manager Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese has always dreamt of managing Manchester United, and now, his chance has come. The situation is obviously a tough one as the arrival of some top class managers in the league has increased the competition, but as stated earlier, Mourinho is a proven winner, who needs no introduction.

He is working to bring the side back on track and many believe that he is the one, Manchester United have always wanted after Sir Alex Ferguson retired. The 2 times Champions League winner, Jose Mourinho, has been criticized for many attributes, but the manager has always ignored such reviews and that, is the primary reason for his success.
