Manchester United have brought in three new players in the squad this summer and there is one last player to land at the Old Trafford on a world record transfer fee if the deal does get through. However, there is more happening at the United and thus here are some of the latest transfer news from the Old Trafford.

Reports suggest that United are looking out for Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup,  and further are preparing a deal worth £17m for the player. However, the Red Devils are set to face competition from Arsenal for the player’s signature as the Gunners’ manager is keen on re-signing the player he let go of in 2012.

Ozyakup, who was previously on the books at Arsenal as a youngster, is said to be attracting interest from the Gunners once again.

The Turkey international is under contract until 2018 and the club are unlikely to want to part with the man who scored 10 times and provided eight assists in all competitions for them last season.

Further, Paul Pogba is still a Juventus player, however, United captain Wayne Rooney believes that signing Pogba will make a big statement for the Reds Devils. United have been trying to land the player throughout the summer and Rooney is hopeful that the France International will seal the deal soon.

He told the Daily Mail:

“I hope he is going to want to return to United and prove he’s a top-class player. If he is excited to play for us, we’ll be excited to have him back.

“I’m sure he’ll feel there is unfinished business, and it would be a very big statement by the club if they can make it happen.”

Rooney has lifted the lid on Mourinho’s early days at the club.

The Portuguese boss has been busy in pre-season, both on and off the pitch, and the club captain reckons Mourinho’s man-management is good for his team-mates.

“The way he speaks to individuals, the way he talks to the group, the way he makes players feel so confident,” Rooney said.

“I’ve heard him talk to players, and you know that player will now be feeling on top of the world. He’s done it with me, he’s done it with all of us — that is one of his qualities.

“You know he will leave messages for you with the press — messages for other managers — he’s very clever with his words.”
