3 Reasons Why This Super Armenian Is A Better Signing Than Zlatan Ibrahimovic

It’s all done — that’s what German newspaper Bild wrote a few hours before Borussia Dortmund confirmed it —- Henrikh Mkhitaryan is on his way to Manchester United. The Armenian, who had been in phenomenal form last season, activated his buy-out clause and supposedly, even paid a part of it. The deal is reportedly for 30 million pounds, and here are 3 reasons why we think it’s a better deal than Zlatan’s signing:

Henrikh-Mkhitaryan-26

1. His age

At 27 years old, Mkhitaryan is 9 years younger to Zlatan. This basically means that if he performs well, he can serve us a lot longer than the Swede, who has signed for just one year. It will also give him much more time to adapt to the league, and that is always an added bonus if you are coming to England for the first time.

2. Tactical flexibility

The Dortmund player can slot in at a number of positions, as an attacking midfielder, as a winger or even as an out-and-out centre-forward. Zlatan isn’t that tactically flexible, which means he will either feature as a striker or he won’t. Being able to play in a number of positions is always a big plus no matter which league you ply your trade in. Zlatan is full of trickery but he is a slow forward which means he will slow down the attacking rhythm of the team during the counter attacks. Mkhitaryan on the other hand, has balanced skill sets to suit all types of gameplays.

3. Less arrogance

Ibhrahimovic is one of the best players in the world, but his arrogance and outspoken nature often lands him into trouble. FA is very strict and any funny taunting comments from the big Swede will be taken seriously and he may end up getting few match bans too.  The Armenian is not that press friendly but is intensely passionate about playing for the club.

The Super Armenian star is not that press friendly but is intensely passionate about playing for the club and he usually stays away from media spotlights.

However, I hope both of them succeed at the Theatre of dreams, and we reap the benefits.
